The Code 39 barcode font is widely used to code alpha-numeric information, such as model numbers. It is the easiest of the alpha-numeric barcodes to use and is designed for character self-checking, eliminating the need for time-consuming check character calculations.
In accordance with the Code 39 barcode standard, you can use a Top Barcodes Code 39 barcode font kit to encode up to 26 upper case letters, 10 digits and seven special characters. The complete code 39 barcode you create must include a start character * and a stop character * for it to be self-checking.
